Principal's Welcome Message
It is my honour to be appointed principal of St. John the Baptist Catholic Elementary School. As principal, I am committed to working as a team, with all staff, parents, students and parish. Our school motto: “working together with Jesus, we succeed” is the key to a solid foundation based on the teachings of our faith and the dedication of creating life-long learners. This relationship with the school, home and parish is key to our success.
At St. John the Baptist Catholic School, we celebrate the uniqueness and individuality of each student, recognizing the philosophy of “Each Belongs” which expresses the opportunity of each child to reach their full potential in which Jesus Christ is our role model. Together as a school community, we will continue to establish the direction of a positive school culture of acceptance and belonging.
I want to welcome students and families back from a restful and refreshing summer to a new school year at St. John the Baptist School. This year will be filled with learning, growing in faith and serving our community through acts of putting our faith into action.
We are blessed to have such a wonderful Parish team and Pastor to support the St. John the Baptist School Community. Our goal is to foster this growth and to continue to support our relationship with our families and students, to guide us all in our faith journey to live out our Gospel Values.
I sincerely look forward to working with all staff, parents and our parish team. It brings me much pleasure and eagerness as we embark on our new journey together this coming school year.
I look forward to meeting each one of you throughout the coming months.
Many Blessings,
Mrs. Joanna Shamon
Principal of St. John the Baptist School
