National Indigenous Peoples Day

National Indigenous Peoples Day is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions that First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples have made to the foundation of our nation.

Join us for Weaving the Braid of Unity on June 19th! A virtual grassroots summit will take place to honour and celebrate the beauty and resilience of the original people who have made the diverse and vibrant nation that Canada is today.

Tune in LIVE on the Halton Catholic District School Board’s YouTube channel from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Dancers and singers, drummers and influencers will all be sharing their messages of peace, love and hope for the world.? Guests will include Indigenous Grandmothers, Grandfathers and Youth.

Additional guest speakers, artists, writers, and entertainers will include: Theland Kicknosway, Grandmother Eva.
